"Mystic Woman"

This picture is one of my favorites ones. I was sure that if I stop by in front of this woman and prepare the camera for the shoot, she would have changed her position and also, almost sure, she wouldn't like me to take the image. So I decided to place my camera very low so she could not even imagine I was shooting at her. And miracle, here she was.

I don't know yet what the magic of shadows are...but in somehow is something mysterious and mystic. And once again, the image came to me with out searching for it, just waiting on the side of the road.

Ceremony. Once again. And suddenly, with out warning, the rain started falling like if it were the first time. And the Show Must Go On. As quick as you can, move on and move on...

This is when the magic of photography makes me really happy. When suddenly the image, in perfect composition, appears in front of me with out looking for it previously.

"Daily Shower"

Many people still don't have current water at their homes. And as they have been doing for hundred of years they visit the closest river every day. To have a fresh shower and wash their daily clothes is a common image all around. This beautiful woman was not (apparently) worry or shy of having her "Mandi" few meters in front of me. Of course I asked her permission. Here she is. Lovely.

Cock fighting is an ancestral tradition in Bali. Long time ago it was an offering to the spirits and Gods. These events are celebrated after the ceremonies close to the temples. But on these times, Balinese bet money. A lot of money. Some of them lose everything they have. Like in Las Vegas?? Why not.

Singapore. I like big cities, specially when I walk the streets and suddenly appears like the front page of a book that you want to read. Doors and gates, represents the beginning and the ending, the private and the public, the inside and the outside. Just a very personal and unique life behind that curtains.

"Solitaire Lunch Time"

Singapore. At one of these crowded food-markets. Full of people but at the same time a solitaire place for many of them. For this woman the only company to join her lunch with was these counters of water.

The game takes time to thing about the strategy, so the public can have a short rest between movements.

These two animals are not supposed to be good friends, but here they are. Maybe because they are in "jail", their sense of respect of one with the other eliminates the barriers of being different. A paradox of our own life maybe.

Where Bali is not yet "colonized". Where nature is just used for producing food. Where the birds have enough space to fly around. Where the harmony is.

Bali is rich on many different kind of flowers, used on many places and for different utilities. But always on the ceremonies. Men, women and children are "decorated" with various colors and aromas as part of the tradition.

Where ever I go I like to visit the traditional markets. This girl will help you to carry what you buy in the market, relieving you of the heavy shopping.

I found these two women at the beach so I decided to follow them. I knew it was a gift. Women carrying nets over their heads... one of my favorites topics. This picture is only one of many others.

One of my favorites moments is when the elements spontaneously join all together into a n harmonious and nice composition. The boy, the bale, the boat and the volcano at the very back. Sanur Beach.

Is the best of enjoying the view...when someone drives you. A good place to watch the life around you. A good place to meditate.

I've never seen before in all this time in Bali, such a tidy and clean house like the one u can see. It's time to get some clean water. It's dinner time, and this beautiful Balinese Lady, without knowing how cute and wonderful she was, "shared" to me one of the images that I more like. One image says more than thousand words.
